About TimTim — the team behind TimTim Browser

Our mission

We have one purpose: to shrink the time it takes to get the information you need. Browsers have competed for years over how fast a page loads. But the time people actually spend is the reading and watching that happens after the page has loaded — and that is where TimTim Browser puts automatic AI summarization to work.

Across real-world user averages, the time it takes to absorb a piece of content drops to roughly one-twelfth of the usual — about 120 minutes’ worth of material in around 10 minutes.

How the app started

The first user was the developer. Articles, papers, and videos kept piling up, and there was never enough time to get through them. That frustration is what led to a browser built around one thing — summarization — made first as a personal tool.

In a single year of using it, the developer saved more than 700 hours — the equivalent of about 88 working days. That result is what turned a personal tool into an app worth releasing.

Where we stand on privacy

We hold to a policy of not collecting your browsing data. Summaries of private pages are stored only on your device and never shared externally. Being able to keep using the app with peace of mind matters to us as much as the features do.

What’s next

We want to make gathering information lighter still, so that more people can spend their time on what they actually want to do. That is the work we keep building toward.
